The Ambulance Service College in Dublin recently held a Major Incident Exercise to coincide with students being taught the Major Incident Module.
The exercise involved volunteers from the Defence Forces, Order of Malta & Civil Defence, as well as students of the National Ambulance Service College, Dublin. Around SEVENTY volunteers from the various agencies acted as casualties for the incident. The services of Ann Crofts, a Professional Makeup & Moulage Artist from Wales was utilised and you can see some images of her work in the attached slideshow.
The Incident was described as "A major Explosion with building collapse and damage" at a Defence Forces site.
The response was combined between the Medical Corps of the Defence Forces and the National Ambulance Service.
